Decidim Salt

Consultancy service for the citizen participation platform Decidim of the Salt City Council. Installation in the City Council servers. Web platform built with RoR (Ruby on Rails) with RWD, adaptable to different devices.

CodiTramuntana has been part of the "development team" and developed part of the Decidim software core. For this reason, it has the knowledge and experience necessary to develop adaptations and new modules of the platform.

The democratic participation platform Decidim allows the City Council to manage participatory processes with the collaboration of the municipality residents.

The participation spaces of the platform, processes or assemblies, allow the neighbors and / or the administration itself to generate their proposals, allowing their subsequent voting, debate and diffusion in social networks. The administrators of the platform can configure the visualization of the proposals results. Once the results have been published, the platform allows the neighbors to follow the execution of the proposals through the "follow-up" function.

The platform has an informative section, allowing to offer information on static pages or sending newsletters to neighbors who offer their consent.

Additionally, Decidim allows increasing the residents participation in municipal decisions thanks to different participatory processes: surveys, meetings, participatory budgets or selecting proposals based on a base budget.

The modules and functionalities of the platform were configured to satisfy the needs of the City Council. In this case, to make user verification simpler, an automatic check was configured with the municipal register. Throughout the project, were offered technical consultancy, software training course and platform updates to the latest available version.
