Participa Sant Boi

Technological support for the installation, adaptation and maintenance of the democratic participation platform "Decidim" for the Sant Boi de Llobregat City Council. Installation in the multi-tenant server of CodiTramuntana with security certificate. The installation on this server allows updates with the other tenants and outsource the administration and supervision of the digital application servers. Web platform built with RoR (Ruby on Rails) with RWD design that allows it to be adapted to the different devices that users can use: computer, tablet or mobile.

CodiTramuntana was part of the "Decidim tech team" and has developed part of the core of the platform, reason why it can execute adaptations of the platform and develop new modules.

The platform allows transparent management of the participatory processes where citizens collaborate. The processes can be managed by "Phases" and configured according to the needs of each Phase.

The Decidim platform allows to offer information on static pages and to send Newsletter style news to participants who offer their consent.

Within each participation space (process or assembly) the participants and / or the administration itself can generate their proposals, allowing its subsequent voting, debate and broadcast on social networks.Administrators can configure the display of the proposals supports, which are completely transparent. Once the results have been published, the platform "tracking" functionality allows the community to follow its execution.

In addition to the information and participation in the preparation and voting of proposals, users can answer surveys, participate in meetings, participate in participatory budgets or select different proposals based on a pre-established budget.

Decidim allows the integration of the offline participative dynamics within the online platform, facilitating a wider and more cross-sectional participation of citizens.

The modules and functionalities of the platform were adapted according to the needs of the client. In this case, to make user verification simpler, it was done through integration with the municipal register. During the project were offered technical advice, software training course and updates of the platform, to include, for example, the functionalities of the new versions.
