Decidim Sitges

Software consulting service on the democratic participation platform Decidim for the Sitges City Council. Installation of the platform in the multi-tenant server of CodiTramuntana with digital certificate. This server allows global updates with the rest of server tenants and outsources the administration and supervision of the servers by the City Council. Web platform built with RoR (Ruby on Rails) with RWD design that allows it to adapt to different devices.

The platform allows the management of participatory processes with citizens involvement with total transparency. The processes will be elaborated by "Phases", which can be configured to satisfy the needs of each Phase.

The platform participation spaces allow the neighbors or the City Council itself to generate proposals, which can then be voted, debated or shared using social networks. The platform administrators can configure the display method of the voting results. Once the results are published, the neighbors have the option of following the execution process.

The platform allows to manage different citizen participation processes: surveys, meetings, participatory budgets or the proposal selection function based on a budget limit (gaming type function).

Decidim allows integrate offline participative dynamics into an online platform, which facilitate a larger and more transversal citizens participation.

The web platform was adapted according to the needs of the City Council. In this case, to simplify user verification, the platform was integrated with the municipal register. During the service, we provided technical consulting, software training course and platform updates.
