Participa Som Energia
The Project
Consulting service for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the democratic participation platform Decidim of the Som Energia cooperative, to allow the management of its participatory processes. Subsequently, another platform was installed to meet the needs of the "Help Center" of its web portal. This platform works as a support community, where customers and partners of the cooperative can participate, to solve doubts with the advice of Som Energia's interlocutors, which appear as highlights on the platform.
The two platforms were installed on a server of Som Energia, managed by CodiTramuntana, which allows any type of customizations such as the adaptation of the platform to the tonalities of the cooperative's website. Web platform built with RoR with RWD design that allows it to adapt to different devices that users can use (pc, tablet or smartphone).
The web platform allows the cooperative to transparently manage participatory processes and assemblies (for the "Help Center") where its users (partners, private clients, business clients, etc.) can participate. The processes are managed by "Phases" and these can be configured to meet the needs of each Phase.
Within each participation space (process or assembly), users and/or the cooperative itself can generate proposals, allowing their subsequent voting, debate and broadcast on social platforms. The platform administrator can configure the visualization of the results of the proposals. Once published, the platform thanks to the "tracking" functionality allows users to follow its execution.
Apart from the information and participation sections, the platform allows users to answer surveys, participate in meetings or get involved in the generation of participatory budgets.
The Decidim platform, on the one hand, was implemented to allow managing the participatory processes of the cooperative and, on the other hand, to satisfy the function of the "Help Center".In this latter case, the design and vocabulary of the platform was adapted so that the processes can be managed as forums. For user verification, a central authentication service (CAS) has been performed. The project has included technical advice, software training course and updates of the platforms to the new versions.
